National Public Power training

Earn more or it's free

Complete the program and meet the conditions below. If your new linework job doesn't pay more within one year of graduating than you earned before — we'll refund your full program fee.

What you learn — and how we support your search

The pre-apprenticeship is built to get you ready for the trade: CDL orientation, aptitude prep, hands-on concepts, and real-world career skills. We also help you present yourself to employers with resume guidance, job-application support, and interview preparation — because getting in the door matters as much as what you know on day one.

Graduates get access to tools and resources (including career portal access where applicable) so you can pursue ground hand and apprenticeship opportunities in line with your goals.

Course completion isn't a placement guarantee

No school can promise a specific employer or start date. Hiring depends on employers, location, timing, and your effort in the search. Tuition covers education and career support — not a guaranteed job offer.

Placement-related services (for example, introductions or hires through a career portal or partner network) are often structured as pay per placement or similar commercial models — separate from your $399 pre-apprenticeship fee. That separation keeps expectations clear: you're paying for training and support, not a purchased slot at a company.

Why we still offer “Earn more or it's free”

We want the program fee to feel like a smart investment — not a gamble. This guarantee is our own ROI commitment: if you do the work and still don't earn more in qualifying linework within the window below, we stand behind the fee.

Tied to your outcome

The promise is about earnings in linework compared to what you made before — not about whether you used a particular placement channel.

Separate from placement fees

Pay-per-placement or hire-based services are their own arrangements. This money-back offer applies to the pre-apprenticeship tuition under the published conditions.

Built for trust

We're serious about preparing you for the trade. The guarantee is how we put weight behind that commitment in a transparent way.

How to request a refund

Refunds are not automatic. If you believe you qualify under “Earn more or it's free,” you need to reach out so our admissions team can review your situation. We typically respond within one business day.

  1. Finish the program and meet any completion requirements stated in your enrollment materials.
  2. Gather documentation that shows your earnings before the program and your qualifying linework compensation after graduation (exact requirements are confirmed by admissions).
  3. Submit a request through our contact page and describe that you're asking about the money-back guarantee. Our team will walk you through verification and next steps.

Full terms

Timeframe, proof of income, and how approved refunds are issued are defined in your enrollment terms and may be updated from time to time. When in doubt, ask admissions — we're happy to clarify before you enroll.

Testimonials from our alumni are actual pre-apprentices pursuing live line work after completing the National Public Power Program. We do offer a paid incentive for their feedback after graduating.

The National Public Power Pre-Apprenticeship Program is a Pre-Apprenticeship and prepares students for Registered Apprenticeships. The National Public Power Pre-Apprenticeship Program is not and does not claim to be a registered apprenticeship program through the Department of Labor.

The Registered Apprenticeship system combines supervised on-the-job training with technical classroom instruction in subjects related to the apprentice's chosen occupation. The apprentice has the opportunity to earn a living while gaining skills, and pay raises are awarded throughout the program as skills increase. The intent of this program is to better prepare trainees for registered apprenticeships.
